Tips for a new rider

how do you setup your mirrors and how to avoid cars??? I hate cars!

Set up your mirrors so that the road/horizon merge in the lower third of the mirror and the mirror shows your arms/elbows/ shoulders (this depends on the bike and your build) on the inside edge of the mirror (unless you are unsually wide). If you are wide, set the mirrors so that you can see directly behind you with your arm up and out of the way or get wider mirrors.

To avoid cars, follow all the techniques they teach you in the MSF beginner class you should be enrolled in. If you are not enrolled in an MSF class, do it ASAP. Pay up and just show up at the next scheduled beginner class. They usually have no-shows and as long as you are paid up and scheduled for a future class, they'll probably let you in.

I live in Philadelphia, PA luckly its free

just have to find out what days they have classes and if my old permit from last year will still work
