Talking There is always a new guy

I guess im the new guy in town so let me introduce myself as Draven. I have riden motorcycles since I can remember, I still have the 2hp briggs and straton, square tire little beast I rode before I knew how to ride a bike. My experiance includes motor-cross, enduro's, a couple of old standard honda road bikes and now my first sporty a GSXR1100. I have spent long hours nursing roadrash and bruises, but thankfully have yet to spend hospital time for broken bones or surgery. My new bike has one interesting mod I would like some opinions on. The original owner replaced the swingarm with one from a 750gixxer making the wheel base 1 1/2" shorter, his explanation was to improve the bikes handling. though as you can imagin the front likes to go ballistic with no effort at all. I have the original part but do like the way the bike handles now. Would replacing the swingarm back to stock change drasticaly the bikes handleing in high speed corners?

Re-fit the original swingarm. You'll notice a big difference. The longer arm will make the bike more stable as this will increase the over-all wheelbase of the bike. I don't know what this guy was getting at, maybe he was a wheelie merchant.
