Question What do you guys think?

I need advice on what kind of bike I should get? I don't have a lot of experience on bikes but I really want to get into it. Some say start out with a dirt cheap bike but they look like crap. And I dont want to kill myself on an R1. I was looking at the YZF600R. But Suzuki also has some cool looking 600's. What do you guys think? I really do need help with which one to choose!?!

Excellent first bike.

Read through some of the threads in New Riders Forum for more info on what to do and get before riding.

I rode a yamaha srx 250 for about 2 weeks, then realized i should have bought something bigger. I then went and bought a 98 yzf 600. Its suited me really well since.

Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned...... Tyler

Look at the Ninja 500. I have never ridden one, but I hear they are very reliable, fast enough but not too fast, light, and have low seat height(if you are short).

I bought the Ninja 250 for my first bike and I wish I would of gone with the 500 instead.

used 600

You don't have to buy junk. But, I would suggest getting something used. Like a mid 90's ZX6R or maybe a n FZR600... GSXR600?

Get a little experience before buying a new bike.
