Looking for something fast but limited to...

Hi, ive been thinking to get a street bike for some time, my first bike was a ktm exc 525, everyone told me i would kill myself with it, i must admit that the first time i drove it, like a dumbass ive cracked it open to 3\4 throttle, done an accidental wheelie and crashed, but after 3 months, it was too slow and i wanted more power. Though it was for offroad use only.

However, heres the quebec blacklist
http://www.saaq.gouv.qc.ca/immatricu...soire_moto.php
Wich mean it will cost over 1100$ for the license plate alone each year.

At first i though a Yamaha Fz1 would be the best, but whats you guys recomendation?

Thanks

I know ive made a mistake the first time and was not careful at all, but then ive never crashed it again, and its been 3 year.

But yeah a Fz1 might be too much and more expensive, maybe a Fz09?

Look at an R6 or a CBR600.

Where sportbikes on the street are concerned, speed is not (or should not!) be a big concern. A good chassis and strong motor are, not to mention good handling.

These bikes are plenty fast off the showroom floor, and mods can make them faster. In the meantime you can hone your handling skills, which will only get better with more seat time, as previously noted. Three years is a lot, but there is no upper limit to experience.

When you begin to find your bike's limitations in corners, braking, response, etc., you'll begin modding it accordingly. As that happens, you'll find the real meaning of speed and what it can do for you.
