'04 honda 599 (hornet 4 u in europe)

pros: comfy
easy to ride
lots o mods
if you ride mellow, great mileage
naked is always better (except in the case of rosanne)
not a lot around in the states
isurance is lower...
price is lower

cons: wind at speed
all the mods are in europe
stock shock (f & r)
stock can (bland)
scratches from my tank bag show up really well on my yellow tank...

i love my bike...

Ducati Monster S4R

2004 Ducati Monster S4R

It's a Ducati
one of the original naked sportbikes
tons of aftermarket mods
quality factory parts
light and powerful
huge cult following
sounds awesome
looks awesome
will never go out of style... always turns heads
did I mention it's a Ducati?

Service (little pricey)

1997 YZF750RJ

Rides well
Great bike to learn on
Very forgiving
Loves twisties
Plenty of top end
Not many people have seen them so its one of those "whats that?" bikes
Pretty comfy (very soft seat)

Very little low end power(good for learning though)
VERY HEAVY (453 wet)
Almost no aftermarket or replacement parts
Carbs dont like to stay in sinc
Gas milage leaves something to be desired (30-35 MPG)

pros and cons

1994 cb 1000

not many around
great looking bike
tons of low end tourq and power
easy to clean and work on
cheap to insure
its a honda
running around town in 5th gear
very commfey seat 5 hour trips are no prob.

very very heavy takes a whial to get used to
prety tall at 5' 10" it puts me on my toes some times
not much for aftermarket
no one at the mechanic shops know much about it
only has a 5 speed and is kind of short legged
only gets mid 30s mpg wise

Thumbs up

82 Katana 750/?

Cons, Piece of crap. Project in the works.

Pros,, Motor out of 1100 GSXR or 1200 Bandit
Swing arm from Gixer, Bandit, or maybe a single sider.

Riding Position, Made to fit like a glove.

Power, Should be lots of power, maybe go 1216 kit, cams, and carbs.

Handling, Better than original with USD forks and a monoshock.

Looks, Stunning.

06 honda 599

easy to learn
not many around
enough power for comfortable commuting and twisty rides.

NO wind buffering
no adjustable front suspension
weak can
hard to find mods in the states
