Arizona Riders loose another friend.

For those of you that haven't heard already, we've lost another local rider. His name is Matt Lee. He rode a blue 99 R1. He was killed in an accident with another vehicle at about 4:30 Pm Friday the 17th.

Matt was a very close friend to us all, and it so painful to loose another of our close friends.

Matt talked many times about "if anything ever happened." He always said he wanted a motorcycle prossesional at his funeral, if it were to come to pass. Matt loved bikes, and left us doing what he loved.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but, as soon as they have, I will post them here. I am SURE that Matt would want everyone who is willing to ride in his prossesion to participate.

Matt leaves behind his wife, of less then a year, Heather.

I'm going to try and borrow a street-bike to be there.

I'm leaving for an overseas trip for the next week in the morning. I won't be able to participate - I'm having knee surgery on Monday when I get back (legacy of my last lowside), which will keep me off bikes for a while.

I didn't know him - but it's sad news.

There's 2 type of riders, the 1's that have gone down & the 1's that are going down. I've been down, which one are you?

The Funeral will be held at 2 pm, Friday the 24th, at Newcorner Family Mortuary. 6812 E. Thomas rd.

All are welcome at the funeral, and riding is encouraged.

The funeral will be followed by a party in Matt's honor at the Lee house. Please contact me by PM or e-mail if you need more information.

Maybe I should be a bit more carefull around town... Especially with the GF in the back. My condolences to all that lose a good friend. But lets not let an accident like this cloud out minds with worries when we ride out in the jungle.

Shit,

I'm flying out at 7:05am on Friday morning for a season ending Pocketbike race and national awards banquet in Myrtle Beach, SC and will not be back until Monday night.

Sorry Kevin, I really wanted to be there. Please make sure you pass along my condolences to friends and family.
