I'm happy to see some original thinking applied to Supermotards so some of the other riders give them a closer look. Single-sided swing-arm set-ups are always heavier than conventional ones, ditto for rim discs. But I sure like looking at it!
TM's comes with super hardware-and you are paying for that-but that cast wheels just doesn't do it for me. A motard needs 'em fat spoked wheels and the whole idea is to build something that is light-this is kinda going in the wrong way. Like putting CF on a Wing.

That TM is trick!! I do have to disagree with a few of you guys in reference to the added weight. First of all the bike is obviously built for street use, i.e. the lights and turn signals, so I don't think that the added weight (if much at all) would over shadow the drool effect that it brings. Back to the weight, I'll bet anything that those forged aluminum wheels and large perimeter brake rotor don't hardly weight more than stock rim hoops with cast hubs and stainless spokes. As a matter of fact I have a friend who has a set of rs125 gp hoops on a Yz 250 and before we put them on we did the ol' feel the weight difference and we both swore that the rs wheels where lighter. I do agree that the single sided swing arm would be heavier but by how much? I don't know. Either way this thing would haul and I'd give my right nut for it
