Question Question on Rims

My husband is all kinds of excited about his cast magnesium rims on the Duke, but I'm noticing a lot of Super Motards have dirtbike spoke rims.

Is this a preference thing or is one truly better than the other?

The spoked rims can take more abuse, they can handle the offroad sections of the SM track better then the cast. If your not racing, then the only benifit is if you hit a pothole and bend the rim, spoke you can replace the rim, cast you have to get the whole wheel

One good thing about cast wheels is you can generally run tubeless tires. Otherwise Ducman is right, spoked wheels are more durable for off road encounters.

Try it...........You'll like it!
