Question 17" rims on stock hubs

Hey there,

ANyone done this? I'm really into getting a CR-something and converting it to a Supermotard, but the price of rims/hubs will exceed the price i pay for the BIKE! So, i was looking into getting just rims, and that seems to be reasonable. Now, of course, i would only have the stock brakes, but i'm not going to be going to any track days, so i think they'll suffice for a while....

So, has anyone done this?!? Can you get wider-than-stock rims to lace to the stock hubs?
any other downfalls to doing it this way???

please let me know...

Thumbs up Welcome!!

Sure it can be done! A cush drive is nice to have, but if you avoid clutchless shifts your tranny should survive.

You should enlist a savvy shop to order the correct spokes and rim. Maybe better still, try >>>>>>>>>>>Buchanan's<<<<<<<<<<<<. Enjoy the fun!!

Try it...........You'll like it!

I would get another set of rims. You can find some used sets on www.Supertt.com. this way you can use the bike for both street and dirt
