Husqvarna - http://www.husqvarnausa.com/
Husaberg - http://www.husaberg.se/
ATK - http://www.atkusa.com/
VOR - http://www.vorusa.com/
CCM - http://www.ccm-motorcycles.com/

Aside from those companies, I'm not aware of any that are street-legal (or easily made so) and imported into the US.

I do not recommend a 2-stroke motocrosser for street duty, though I have one myself. The only reason mine is street-legal is so I can stay familiar with the bike by riding it around...it is my race bike.

For a mainly street-ridden motard, the Honda XR650L is a good choice. White Brothers has a bunch of parts for it, it's already street-legal, and is probably the easiest choice. If you can manage to street-legalise a dirtbike, the XR400R is another good choice, as is the XR650R (these last 2 are kickstart-only though).

im having trouble getting a feel for what the 400R and the 650 R would feel like.. ? i dont mind a kick starter, but how do i get something like that registered? do they do a brake and lamp inspection? or something?

would a 250 fourstroke be too small? keep in mind im used to 750 cc street bikes, and the like..

and i would also be doing the occasional track days..

Exclamation Hey Blackhawk!!

Do you want a commuter or racing SuperMotard? I ride a Husaberg and love it, but I wouldn't want to only have the Berg for commuting. But it is a breathtaking ride, twists and bumps add to the fun!

Try it...........You'll like it!

not commuting purposes only, juss here and there, but majority of it will be in the canyons.. thass y, super moto, "dirtbike wit streetires.." it'll give me achance to mess around wheelies, jumps, stopppies,

and the occasional track day, they look like motherfun to ride on a track..

i think im going with either an xr650R witha baja kit, or dzr650, suzuki..im not quite sure about the out a state stuff, cuz i couldnt register it, california ya know..

ride safe

Cannondale is releasing a Super Motard, suppose to be out August or September. It'll be a race version called the S440.
