The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all of fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomanical, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully. - Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion

Relax dude...

I only posted the question once. Don't know why it circulated 3 times in the message board. I'm not the imbucile you think I are...

Talking Didn't want you to think I was...

Didn't want you to think I was an idiot...Message board must've thought I was a God or something, thus posting anything I say 3 times. Wonder if I click my heals together 3 times while reciting those 3 postings, if it would have sent me back to Oz.
You were probably about to refer me to the "SuperRetard" motorcycle section.

Well, stupidity does run rampant through here from time to time, and I must admit I was beginning to wonder. No big deal though, I'm bored at work anyway so it gave me something to laugh at.

cool

That's cool. Do you have a motard? --> What kind?
I just bought a 2003 KTM 625 SXC. Getting it a little more street legal, with a few more lights. Very cool bike!

Nope, but they look fun as hell! Unfortunately after totalling one bike and having another one stolen we're left with only one, and it's more like half of one. It's a Buell Blast. Don't let the name fool you though, it's anything but a blast.

blasted

A Blast? I was actually thinking of getting one as a second bike (to have the KTM, and a street bike), because they are relatively cheap. So I guess you wouldn't recommend one then? Are they leaking bitches like everyone says? (Buell's in general leak??) I like the Firebolt V-twin, but it's too much $$. Still wanted a V-twin, and ended up finding a nice cheap Suzuki TL100s. Great bike. But anyway, what is riding the blast like?

Forget everything bad that I said about it, I happen to have a GREAT Blast I'd sell you......

Seriously, I've heard harley engines described as such, "1000cc's rattling and shaking it's way to all of about 60hp with all of the grace of a Wal-Mart paint shaker." Take that description and cut it in half. Thats basically what the Blast is. A 500cc one-lunger that put out about 30hp. Aside from being completely ball-less we've had absolitely no trouble with ours. No leaking fluids, no mechanical problems, really no problems at all. It does vibrate a bit, but really not too much I guess. I wouldn't want to ride it all day though. At 70 miles per gallon though I ain't gonna bitch too much, with gas prices being what they are.

If you're wanting a cheap street bike I'd say go for the Ninja 250 or 500 or perhaps the GS500. All are easy on the wallet and all get a lot better reviews than the Blast.

I take it the bike probably won't wheelie?
Would it be a fun bike to take to a track, (good turning bike), or is it still just underpowered?
