Lightbulb Fresh Meat!

I just posted this in the moderators forum and I thought it would be polite to post it here too!
Guess I'm the new SuperMotard Forum moderator. Nice to be able to help out.
A little about myself.
I've been a hard-core biker since 1972, along the way I've done lotsa wrenching and Machining, but mostly riding! My personal bike count is over 100 machines, I am down to 5 right now. I've been very fortunate to have been able to get paid to design and build a race track (like a big version of Malibu Grand-Prix) that was a great experience. 1978 saw the start of my M/C shop ownership experience, I sold it in 1988 but stayed on as GM and President till 1989. The 1990's saw me become a parent, journeyman machinist (had my own modest machine-shop prior to this) and Technologist.
I explored the SuperMotard concept very early on trying to improve TS400 apache for street use, as it was I shocked a lot of local riders (not to mention police) with my bikes abilitys. When I saw the first "Superbikers" race on ABC, I was vindicated! I did spend a lot of saddle-time on GSXR'S and the like but when I moved into our new house, located down miles of twisty broken asphalt, well I was hooked by the SuperMotard concept again. That was in 1986 and since then I've always had a big-bore single in my garage.
Ride On!

Thanks. Any ideas, storys, events or pictures related to SuperMotard machines would be good to see posted around here.
I think bikers would get a lot more excited about SuperMotards if they knew how well these bikes performed in the real-world.

Thumbs up

You re right Grok, I agree that if people knew what these bikes can do on the road, they would rate them higher!

I know what they are like, I ve been passed on the mountain by a Supermoto twice so far!
When I rode this Honda CRM250 based Supermoto I thought it was the best bike for the city traffic.
I was tempted to by a CRM myself, that was 3 years ago but I didn't go that way.
For the city GP my old SR500 thumper is still good enough

I like your Berg better though

I was angy to myself that I couldn't go to the final European Championship Supermoto race last Sunday, too much drinking Saturday night...
