Yup, last year I had a 2001 R6, I traded it in at Walt Healy's. Where did you buy yours? Do you like it? I loved mine!
We should hook up for a ride sometime!

I too got mine from Walt Healy's, they have the best prices in the city and I fukn love it man. You might have seen me around, mine is custom painted; a chamelleon purple color. I have an Arai Edwards helmet. Either way, we should definitely go for a rip, as long as you aren't a squid!

There's about 8 Alberta riders that frequent this site.

I've got a question for you Calgary riders. I'm heading to Kimberly this month and am wondering what the funnest way to go is? I was considering taking the Kananaskis highway (40??) south from 1a to the Crowsnest/ Fernie, but someone else suggest I go through Bragg Creek and head into Longview and then to Fernie.

I'll have a whole day to get there so the fastest way doesn't matter.

thanks

I was in Calgary for the July 7 CMRA races at Race City. Had a really great time. It seems that you have a really good racing organisation there, and if you haven't already, check it out.

Don't know about the best route to Kimberly but be sure to run south to Crowsnest on Hwy 20 (I think) from Black Diamond.

Cheers from Subarctic

I wish some Calgary riders had told me hwy 40 is only 1/2 paved. The part through Kananaskis is superb , perfect pavement and great vistas of the mountains, insane speeds. The part from Kananaskis to Coleman is also beautiful, unfortunatly it's also gravel. I did the 132 km in 2-1/4 hours, sucked alot of dust, and scared the shit outta myself once or twice ( ask me about downhill, off camber gravel corners beside an embankment). The Blackbird is an amazing bike, I don't think I'd be able to handle that road on any other sportbike, of course something like a KLR would have been a blast.

The rest of the trip through Crowsnest to Kimberly, and Kimberly back through Kootenay Nat'l Park is too beautifull to be missed.

The older I get,
The better I was.
