MIGHT be comin' to Cypress, CA

Hey guys, can anyone tell me about the area?

It's a good company/job, but trying to get the $ straightened out.

In Milwaukee now. What is it like to rent storage or shop/garage space? Or preferably, how bad is it to get a place (expected to rent apt for 1-2 yr) with a garage?

Where's good to live around there?

Thanks!

Desmo....I am about 4 miles from Cypress. Good area actually, its southern Califirnia, soooo, its over-priced like the rest here. Apts in Cypress, and nearby areas ,Cerritos,Downey,Stanton, etc etc..pretty much easy to find, although some tie you up with a 2-3 year lease. Give a post with what lookin for and I try to help with some info. Charlie

2-3 year lease??!! WTF?!! That might be one to break if the time comes and say later!

I'm looking for a 2 bed place with, yup, garage. A porn studio, private racetrack, airport, and indoor/outdoor shooting range would be nice too, but might be tough to find! LOL!!

I plan to have an apt for 1-2 yr and save up for a Cessna to commute to work in (airport is ~5mi to the north). That should get me out say a 50-75 mi radius, which hopefully will bring house prices out of asylum territory, and still have about a 25 min flight in.

Apt in Cypress would be great, is it too expensive to live there? Place is in center of Cypress (E to W) and in the south -- just over the Long Beach line.

Not a fair way to beat the damn traffic here!! Thats it,Im putting a Closed sign on the boarder !! How rude,Im just jealous. Its not really going to make much of a difference city to city on the costs, unfortunatly. Get out to Riverside,Ontario, etc, and its pretty resonable actually. Ive lived here most of life, and its only gonna get more expensive, and more crowded I guess...take the transfer, get the family here and join the rat race!! Great riding weather most of time! Except at the moment...its 45 degrees..Charlie

Thanks for the reply!

When the time comes, I was thinking about Riverside or Ontario as a matter of fact. Not too far to drive if need be (like get in to work early enough to beat the traffic). How early in the morning does the traffic start out there? Here (and in fact I've been in worse traffic in Milwaukee than LA) before 6 it's pretty much deserted.
