Myself and a few friends (currently 3 girls and about 5 guys) plus numerous others who have expressed interest are thinking about starting a new sportbike club in the Phoenix area. A relaxed group to get together whenever for whatever. People with common interests...riding sportbikes...no BS, politics, anyone welcome, no pejudices, no age limits, currently ages range from 19 to 42.
Main rules are to ride safe, have fun, hangout. Riding does not have to be restricted to the street. Many have dirtbikes, quads etc...
I think that there is enough room for another club/group or whatever in a city this big. Plans include a website with a forum. Have been tossing around a few names, but nothing definite yet. Ideas and input is welcome!
If anyone is interested please post or pm me.
sounds like a good idea, but where do you guys ride or hangout currently. Im kind of an old schooler back to the Dayz of Robert Basil, so I dont really know anyone anymore with the exception of a few guyz that still go down to Mill and Bus Stop on weekendz.
We are open to suggestion for rides and hangouts. Right now, its pretty much ride to where everyone feels like (once the group gets larger I am sure than we'll have to be a bit more organized) We have ideas in mind and should be posting soon the rest of the details! We'll make sure we let ya know!
Oct 6th, several members will be at Metro Motorsports Open House Sale (they are having free food and drinks all day plus drawings, givaways and sales) We will be there promoting EOS "Exhibition Of Speed", so if you are interested in this club and want to meet us, please stop by!
bashing AZ Motorsports group (well at least Metro- since I bought the R1 there and parts, service, etc etc... at one time I even wrote a 4 page letter bitching at them!)(Idon't know personally about the other places)
But it seems as of late they (Metro) have gotten rid of certain people, have aquired people who know how to provide service and help, not just me but several other people. Metro is the only thing on the West side unless you go more tword cave creek etc... which makes it easier for the west siders... IF... Metro offers a wider selection of gear, accessories etc... (which they have gotten some more stuff- still not Cycle gear but...) If someone a:Kisses your ass! Be honest with yourself! You want someone that is willingly helpful and who gives a shit what you want. (afterall how else do they expect to sell anything?) Lyle, the parts manager over there, has been very helpful. While I cannot vouch for every new person, I think we can give them a CHANCE. Its that or drive all the way to that place near Superstition mall only to find out their closed on Sundays! Thats a drive I wish I didn't take, we have red lobsters over here we could have eaten at instead of over there!
Once my extended service contract is up at Metro, I will never buy from there or patron their store again. They need to fire most of their sales people, too. "Guy", the sales person who sold me my RC51 is a lying sack of shit. Totally flat out lied to me about a parts discount I was suppose to get for the next year because of my purchase. Guy The last bike I bought ran out of gas before I even got home, and then they gave me shit over the limited warrenty. Never another penny to those ****s.
Cycle Gear is the only decent place with an inventory in the Phx Metro area. 99% of all the dealers suck too.
I woulda gone to Metro today to meet Edwards and get free food though.
