8 Bikes stolen in Pensacola, FL

Just to get the word out, 8 bikes have been stolen in the past 2 weeks in Pensacoola, FL....Mine was taken last night, March 18 between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. It was a 2003 silver R6. All of the owners of the bikes live in my apartment community, it's called Governors Gate. It's by far one of the nicest places to rent homes in northwest fl, gated as well. Too bad it didn't stop the low-life dipshit's from making 2 quick stops in the past 2 weeks and cleaning this place out dry. I've been reading all the other threads about bikes being lifted, and all of the stories are equally as depressing...now I can finally relate. No insurance, and 8k in debt. If you live in FL and have a bike, put it in a garage or put some kind of Lojack system on your bike that will track it wherever it goes. So if anyone sees any odd looking uhauls driving around all hours of the night, let somebody know. Ride safe.

I feel for you, man. I am always very scared that will happen to me. To let you know how gutsy these guys are: in my old apartment complex (gated underground parking), they stole a cop's bike.....3 TIMES!! They were 3 different bikes and he caught them the 3rd time. I laughed when he told me that it took him a while to report that he had caught the guys, as I knew what he meant. He told his fellow officers that during the chase, the guy dismounted the bike and broke 4 ribs, got 2 black eyes, and broke his jaw (yep, had to get wired). In other words: if you take from one guy more than once, God forbid he catch you, as this cop did. And no, the thief didn't wreck that badly: the owner caught him and just wore the thief out. I'm sure that during the capture he was remembering all 3 bikes being stolen. The reason for his anger? Yeah, 3 bikes is a bit much, but the last one was a brand new Gix 1K, fully modded and mapped, and polished.

I'd have been pissed, too.

I understand that a lot of those low-life's go to the bike week in Myrtle Beach, SC. My buddy and I will be looking for a 02' CBR 954 stolen in Montgomery, AL. God help the crew who stole that bike, I have a 28 oz Demarini and whole lot of aggression to give them as a St. Patricks Day present.

Sorry to hear that, tocunvt. May the thieves die slowly.
