Weekend Wrapup

I just wanted to thank Clay and his wife for their hospitality and also thank their 4 year old son and CLY for "schooling" me on the xbox.

Huge thanks for a great ride girls and boys!

Oh, I watched the video last night - there's some GREAT shots of Boomer, ZREXROB, Riptool, Tony, Steve, and Clay as well. You guys are welcome to copy it if you like or I can make an avi or mpeg of just you... Let me know!

Yeah, thanks again for having us Clay and Tammy. Hopefully next time Tammy will be well enough to school us at the playground

I had a great time, and can't wait to do it again.

421 Workout

Guys- my legs are killing me from the workout at the playground yesterday. All those left-right-left transitions have got me SORE.
That is one great stretch of road. Technical, great pavement, clean, very little traffic and no police!

We (George, Lunchbox and I) hustled it back to Concord in around 2.5 hrs (thanks Andrew for the 421 to I-77 tip). We were probably riding a bit faster than we should have, but stayed out of trouble. It got HOT when we got to the bottom of the mountains too.

We had a great day, did just under 400 miles (mostly twisty stuff) and it sounds like everybody got out safe. Good seein' you up there and I'll see you Wed night if I get back into town in time.

thanks!

J.

Whoa, me and bboommeerr did the 421 to I-77 thing one time.... that was one boring long ass ride.... What I'd do next time if I didn't want to take 321 is take 421 over to just above Brushy Mountain Rd and that that south.... good chance to wind the day down on guess what... TWISTIES

I concur with Andrew on this one. Was great to have you guys catch up to us, just as we were coming into the final stretch of the road.

Kathie and I look forward to seeing that video of yours; we watched Clay's whilst over at John and Leslie's. Awesome shots! Do you need a blank tape from me, so that you can make us a copy? Can you have it ready for the Wednesday night dinner ride? You the man!

Let me start by saying....wow! What a rush! Awesome ride!

Thanks to Clay and Tammy for playing tour guides, short order cooks, and cycle storage. Thanks to John and Leslie for a fantastic cookout! Beautiful house, and wonderful puppies. Kathie now wants to move to East Tenn! hehehehe

Steve....man, you are on fire! Never seen anyone move that quick in a set of twisties! What is the bandana for? Next challenge...ride the playground blindfolded? hehehe

Brian always good to see ya' brah. Thanks for the pointers, and the guidance into JCity. Maybe next time Kathie will letcha ride the F4? hehehehe

Don, it was great seeing you again. One minute you were there, and then the next you were gone. I must have blinked! hehehe Hope to catch you next time!

All in all, thanks for a great weekend all. We had a great time, and are making plans to make another trip back up, after I get back from Deal's Gap next weekend. It will have to be soon too, since Clay let Kathie borrow his book! lol

Take care everyone, and I will see ya'll up here.

Glad everyone had a fun time. And any of you are always welcome over at our place. Sometime soon we're going to be getting rid of my son's bed and putting in a real bed, full or queen sized. SOOO, there will be more sleeping room for those wanting to stay the night!

Thanx again John and Leslie, Tammy enjoyed being able to at least do something with some of the gang! She really wanted to ride, hopefully next season she'll get to be one of the gang finally!
