San Mateo Bike Show

I heard about the San Mateo Bike Show and was wondering if it is even worth going to. I love bikes but if it is crappy I don't want to waste a day, gas and money. If anyone is going, are you planning on riding?

It's a great way to see the whole line-up from each bike manufacturer with knowledgeable reps. There are also lots of booths with the latest gear, parts, accessories, and tools. Riding there is fun because there are literally thousands of riders and bike parking is free. Only problem this weekend may be the weather
It's an easy drive for me, but you have to decide if it's worth it for you for a few hours at the show. If you plan on buying anything large, it may be a good idea to drive a cage.

The show

The show was good...better then the last one I went to. More vendors. Funny, Ducati was NOT on the banner for the building they were in. I was worried there for a minute, until I saw Monroe Motor reps....phewww.... The new 749 and 999 are off the hook!...really thin...really nice.

Rider Choice had one of the 155 (Ben's) bikes, that was sold to them, on display..only had 24miles on it. It was 105/155. I WANT IT!!!! Only $25k.....must sell my convertable.

I WAS disappointed not to be able to sit on the CBR600RR....that actually pist me off. The only thing the CBR is missing is USD forks....thats it! The Ninja 636RR....nice....tall, thin, light (dry), nice SS front brakes...missing rear pro swing arm, maybe next year.

Out of all the naked liter bikes....the ZR1000, Kawi was the best....very sheak....very well sorted, well except for the pee-shooter (legal) exhaust.

It looks like Kawi and Suz will keep their 750's for one more year....does any one want to buy a '00 gixx 750? My wife wont let me buy anymore toys....have to give up one for another....I WANT BEN'S BIKE DAMN IT!!!! Or, I could just jump the band wagon and order up a CBR600RR.
