Due to more extreme juniority (opposite of seniority) at work, I had last choice of leave, therefore, Yakima is out for me. However, I did get two weeks off in August, which just happens to correspond with Sportbikewest in Kelowna, BC, Can. So if there is anyone else unable to make Yakima, maybe we can meet for a dinner in Kelowna? Maybe find some locals to show us around, where to go to avoid the troublemakers that SBWest is known for.

Oh ya, Aug 16, 2002.

Hey bradikoff I'll be comming up this year, missed last years event.

What trouble makers are they famous for, I'm curious? When I was up there in 2000 I thought it was a great event, the only thing I saw that wasn't so good was a few doing wheelies and stunts at the entrance of 8 Mile Ranch and that was dealt with fairly quick.

The rides were fun and fast, I hooked up with some locals and I had a great time, except when one of the guys I was riding with went down. I think something like 6 riders went down that year. Unfortunatly with an event that big and alot of people that don't ride together this can happen, people sometimes ride over their heads.

I will admit that I was riding very fast but I wasn't trying to compete with anyone I just kept the pace where I was comfortable and concentrating on what I was doing and having fun, I did have a slight brain freeze comming into the first turn off Anarchist and realizing kph and mph aren't the same Now I know why all those people line up along that corner taking pictures.
