I will never go back to Dinwiddie again. It was supposed to be bikes only and street wars, not eliminations.
Well it was all the street car and muscle car finals, so that put it at around 150 - 200 cars to our 70 or so bikes.
I got one run, spun the whole was down the track...crappy reaction, crappy run. Aired down the rear tire and got back in line. They started eliminations at this point... so now I have to figure a time on my crappy run. About an hour later I am at the lights again....redlight....and my night is over. A couple that got eleminated went to the staging lanes to run more practice laps, but they never got another run either.
So, 2 hours ride, $20 in gas for the truck, $10 in gas for the bike, $15 admission, 6 hours in making custom dog bones to lower the bike (looks kinda good lowered...check out the pic on www.coast-riders.com
), plus I drilled my kill switch for a lanyerd! Just not worth it for all that time and prep for 1 run...and that one sucked.
Ok, it is over, I am done ranting....just not going back. I will visit Elizabeth City's 1/8th mile track more often.
