Checking in

Hi all, the posts are quite and it sure is not riding weather!

So what is everyone doing?

Justin, I am sure your puppy is keeping you busy.

Derrick, The Wedding, enough said. Good luck, and best wishes to you and your soon to be wife.

Mike, where did you go? I know you did not drop off the face of the earth! Did you go on another vacation?

Bob, stay safe.

And those who I have missed, what is keeping you busy?

Whatever!

Hey kath, I havn't seen you or Jeff on line lately. I was wondering if you guys are riding this weekend. It looks like it is going to rain, sat late afternoon, into sun. I just wanted to see when you guys are going to ride next. The bikes love this cool autumn air. Give me a shout. Chuck.

New MD Rider...

Hey All,

I just finished the MSF course, got my license, and bike. I've ridden before, so I'm not a complete noobie, but I don't know much about the good routes in MD. I rode in VA when I was in college, so I know a good bit about Southwestern VA (Virginia Tech).

If you guys & gals could fill me in on some good routes and maybe allow me to tag along on the next ride, I would love it...

Thanks,

- John

Post Welcome

Hey there,

Congrats on completing the MSF course, even though you already knew how to ride. With the weather getting colder, riding has slowed down. Hopefully there will be some days with warm temperatures that a fun ride could be had by all. We will have to wait and see.

Again welcome.

Whatever!

hey all-
Derrick, congratulations. Post pictures.
Chuck, good meeting you- right on about the weather, my bike seems to love it.
jrehmert- my gf went to Tech, how do you like the football this season? anytime there's a ride, feel free to come.

I was all set to ride sunday afternoon, but after having a really bad first part of the weekend, it culminated in backing my truck into a light pole. the moral here is: don't get distracted by the dog, drinking a milkshake and trying to drive. The way my luck went this weekend, I figured it'd be better not to chance a ride.

anyway, I'm up for riding if weather's good next weekend or anytime.

VT Football ROCKS this season!!! Sorry to hear about your truck. That sucks... Probably a good idea to stay off your bike...

I hope the weather is clear and relatively warm for at least a coupla more weekends, because it would be a shame to put the new bike right into storage.

Hope to ride with all of you guys & gals sometime soon...

Yeah, I really don't get how they choose what games to show on TV. I guess you can't get 'em all on TV, but a majority would be nice...

Anyway, I took the Katana 6000 that I just bought in to Ellicott City Motorsports to have them check out an idling problem and do a MD inspection. I got some pretty bad news later on in the day I dropped it off. It looks like the original owner decided to try carb modifications himself. He didn't totally "F" things up, but it's gonna take another week to get the jet kit that they need and install it. Oh well, I guess I couldn't expect any different when I paid $1500 under blue book. It's funny because it runs just fine at speed...

Anyway - I won't be riding until the middle of next week at the earliest. :-(

I hope next weekend is riding weather....
