Who went Saturday?

Okay, saturday has come and gone. It was kinda nice out did anyone go for a ride on their 2 wheeler?

I did. I had a few errands to do, so I just hopped on the bike and went. Yes, it was very cold but well worth riding on saturday because sunday the way the weatherman were talking we were getting lots of snow. Here in abingdon, we got a dusting on sunday. Saturday the sun was kinda out. I rode to Aberdeen and then to Bel Air then home. THen the girls wanted a ride so husband and I took them on a short jaunt. Then husband went on another short ride by himself. He likes to go fast on back roads, so I told him that I would stay home and get warm so he could have his fun.

Okay so if you did not ride on saturday, like to hear from you northeastern folks anyway.

Post something, this is not hibernation time!

Yawn

You woke me up from my nap!

Actually, I don't have a computer in the shed where the bike currently sits undergoing the winter maintenance routine.

On the list of consideration for this session:
1. New paint job. In part due to my low-side in September, plus the additon of a Shark Skinz solo tail.
2. New suspension components
3. New clutch
4. New (used) black wheels to go with the new paint job and for Christ sake I am sick of purple wheels!
5. New Carbon Fiber handle bars.

Any other ideas anyone?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot.........Buy a Ducatti! I am thinking of making the move to a Twin so I can have the best of both worlds.
I am thinking a used 996 might be the order of the day.

I am ready for winter to be over!

I made it out on Sunday, right before it started raining/sleeting/snowing. That made for a fun 20 minute ride

right now I'm debating my choices. I need new tires, and I was going to get a few other goodies (SS lines and EBC pads) while I was at it, but the new house is crying out for furniture, so I don't know what I'm going to do.

Damn expensive hobby. I guess this is what credit cards are for?

Geez..I don't believe you guys are still riding. I put my bike away in my friends garage and there's probably several layers of dust on it by now.

Sorry Kathy I haven't been to this site in a long while.
Saw a couple of sport bikes out today... If you guys are still riding in the blistering cold...you guys were probably out riding today.

Bob I picked up the book "Twist of the Wrist 2". Its nice book...answered a lot of questions I was also wondering about.

Well hope to see you guys when my bike gets out from hybernation.

Ride safe!

Now that you have read the book start saving to take the course!

I took the Level I course at VIR last Sept. I am going back this year for Level II or the 3 day camp. It was fantastic.

Looking forward to March when the sun will again poke its head out and my wheels will start spinning!

Have you tried decaf.?

Just kidding. I haven't been here for quite a while. I'll try to make more posts and get out to meet some of you nice people this spring.

I'm always looking for other riders to share an adrenaline rush with.

Nice to see riders close by that also ride in the winter on occasion.

I was able to do 90 miles yesterday, (alone) not bad for mid January!

Wouldn't it be cool if we didn't get any more snow? Wishful thinking.

It's too windy today (up here in the north country.)

O.K. thats enough for now.

Everybody think warm thoughts

Not too cold

I got out for a couple of hours Sat. afternoon myself....
First ride after the first snow.....cinders keep it interesting.
It felt really good to slam some gears.

Keep the shiny side up.

98blackbird, have you ever gone to Ephrata, PA?

The first sunday of the month there is a motorcycle gathering, informal, anything goes. When the weather starts to get warm and is decent, I will contact you and we can met in Ephrata,PA. Lots of bikes of everything and anything.

We were in Ephrata and a guy suggested having lunch at some resturant close by. We ended up going to York, by way of highway. After we got there, the resturant he was thinking of closed and a different one opened. Lunch was good, but the trip home was kinda long.

I am counting down days/months till nice weather. I got riding in the 40's but still depends on a few issues. So looking for March and April to come.

Trouble, stay out of trouble! LOL
