Torn

The events of this past Tuesday have been horrify and tragic. I have found myself drawn to the TV on a continual basis to stay updated.

However, I have reached a point where I believe that I need to do something to distract myself and try to fill this feeling of emptiness that pervades my very soul.

Is anyone interested in riding this weekend or just getting together to talk bikes or maybe the trip to Deals Gap?

Yeah, I know how you feel. I've been completely drained emotionally over this terrorist act in N.Y. & D.C. I can't stand watching the t.v anymore, but find myself needing to know the latest info. I'm all the way out here in California, so it's a little hard to take your riding offer, but I plan on doing the same thing out here to get my mind off this mess. Anyways, good luck finding people to ride with. My prayers are with everyone victimized by this terrible act. Late

Cliff, I can't tonight as I have a class/seminar to attend. If you get out enjoy, but I am available this weekend.

DEZIGN70 - well said.

I know what you mean. I can't take watching the TV anymore and seeing the replays of the devastation. I'm planning on getting out on Sunday.

I'd love to go on the Deal's Gap trip with ya'll, but saving for a house has seriously depleted my fun money.

At the moment my only plan is to ride my ass off for as long as I can. Probably do what I've been doing the past few weekends, riding lots of backroads and semi-main roads up in this area- down to Loch raven, Prettyboy Dam, back around. So far, have another member (Kathy) going, if you're interested in making the trek up (10am Sunday), always glad to have more.

Just let me know, and I can give you directions.

Hi Guys and Gals,

Greetings from New York City. The thought of riding sounds wonderful but my riding is on hold until further notice. I have been placed in charge of as disaster recovery planning effort for my
company in light of the recent events in New York City. I don't know when I'll be home but enjoy the trip and I'll be sure to look everyone up when I get back. Ride safe.

Good luck up there; I hope it all goes well.

Not sure if I'll have a chance to log in tomorrow, so here's directions if anyone's interested. Take 95 North to the Edgewood/Bel Air exit (the exits after the tunnel go: 695 W/E, White Marsh/Rt.40, then Mountain Rd, then this one, not sure of the exit#). Take the Edgewood exit ( the first one). Bear right onto Route 24. You will almost immediately come to a light. There will be a Denny's, Exxon on your left. Go to the next light ( this will be the intersection of Rt. 24 and Rt.7). Turn left. There will be a light very shortly, turn left at this light into William Paca Elementary School. We'll be there at 10 am Sunday.

Hey all,

I'm into riding with you guys this Sunday. For now it looks good and I'll meet you guys there if I don't get lost. If you happen to see a yellow and black gsxr 600 wandering aimlessly, thats probably me.

Kneeslider,

Had a feeling you were up there...since you did say you came from Manhatten. We had to do some disaster recovery for DC area also, but were fine now...good luck...
