Track Days!!!

Hey everyone, I will be moving back to Indiana middle of next month from Arizona; and im thinking of starting a track day organization! I have a couple of tracks in mind i know of, all of which are centrally located. If all goes well and there is enough response, hopefully it will happen in spring 2003 and run monthly into late fall (as weather permits).
Talk it over with friends and see what they say! More details to follow soon! This is to see if there is a interest!

A few details about me:
Been riding for 18yrs, with numorous bikes during that time!
Current sportbikes 87' fzr1000, 97' yzf1000r, and 96' bandit 600 for track use!
Moving back to Terre Haute area. Planning on opening Indiana Track Day and performance shop offering Gear and Equipment for the sportbike riders!

You feel lucky punk, Go ahead make my day!

I'll welcome your return (if you're not already here)! While my pregnant wife wouldn't let me near a track, I'd be interested in whatever personal gear/equipment you get together, so be sure to post.

Why is the wife so against the track....I think it is much safer than riding around on the roads. You have runoff areas, no trees or poles to slide into, the environment is mostly controlled. I would say sit her down and explain all of this, but then you might be ban from riding on the roads.

What tracks are you looking at??? I would drive up that way from PA, for a good trackday event!

KNEE DOWN FINGER UP!!!!

That will buff out!!

Women are like parking spaces.....you get in...you get out....and you leave it behind you!

Fun tracks an easy distance from Lafayette:
Putnam http://www.putnampark.com/
Grattan http://www.grattanraceway.com/
Gingerman http://www.gingermanraceway.com/
Blackhawk http://www.blackhawkfarms.com/

Some good clubs that do track days on these tracks:
http://www.nesba.com/
http://www.sportbiketracktime.com/
http://www.desmoindiana.org/
http://www.curvechasers.com/

And there are other clubs in the region that I donít have experience with. Iím not saying a new club canít start but it isnít likely to be easy. The trackís calendars are already filling up fast. How much experience do you have organizing track days? How will your days be different than other clubís days?
