I've got a question for all Chicago area riders..

Have any of you delt with Chicago Cycle Center?

Seems like they have some wickedly awesome deals on new bikes.. $6695 for a new R6, or $6495 for an F4i..

If these deals are true with no hidden little extra things, and I can get the bike for ~$7000 OTD then I'd make the trip down there for it, or use it as leverage(if possible) with my local dealer..

Opinions?

They actually seem pretty alright, 7Gs for a new F4i OTD is good. I heard mixed things about their service department though.

I often seem them give ridiculous deal on last years models in like December.

Friend of mine bought a GSXR1K from Chicago Cycle Center. Bike was listed at $8999 and by time he left, OTD was nearly $12K They tacked on just about every fee they legally could.

Rally, there are a lot of guys on www.chicagolandsportbikes.com. They have group rides quite often. But they keep the squidly stuff to a minimum. I even ride the 2 hrs from Jokesville, WI (Janesville) when possible because theres too many morons in town here.

No longer here cause Basil's a tool.

They quoted me $6930 OTD for a '02.. Then my local dealer said they'd let go of a '01 with 0 miles for $6900 to match the price... I would buy it, but I have to wait for my tax refund check to pay the insurance etc.... I hate money.... Actually, I HATE not having it...

I know "WaynesNside" bought his GSXR600 from them...he lives in Kenosha. Who'd you "deal" with Englehart or Young?
