Any twisty road in Indy???

Hey,

I just moved here from Denver. Is there any decent riding out here? I've got a state map with some roads in the south that look ok, but I'd like to hear what the locals have to say.

I'm also looking for people to ride with. I'm not really into the wheelie/stoppie posing thing, but I love to hit the twisties and occasional trackdays. Let me know! Thanks!

Sam

Hey, I live in Noblesville about 15min north of indy. I haven't been rideing on the streets long but I've heard that any road in Brown county is good. I will probbly get my bike back in the middle of next week if you want we could go explore southern Indiana next weekend.

P.S. Though I did crash my bike doing a weelie... sort of... I'm not the poser weelie type of guy. Though It's the majorty around here

That sounds great! I live pretty close to the airport (High School Road and Washinton). I'm definitely down for next weekend, but I may need to replace tires. Any good shops in town??

indiana roads

once you get north of indianapolis its all pretty flat and straight. southern indiana is the best riding part of the state. I recommend rt62 from Madison to Dillsboro. the roads over near nashville are very good for midweek riding....don't try them on weekends as they are filled with tourists then. as for track days...get on the Putnam Park web site and check the schedule...there are plenty of dates available. Putnam is only about 40 miles west of Indy and is a great track for this type of activity and they are usually less expensive there than any other tracks in this part of the country.

None.

Dealers are all going to rip you off around here. I suggest you try looking on the internet. Try http://www.discountmotorcycletire.com/

I will personal message you later this week so we can try and set up a meeting spot.

Thanks for the link. I see that Dreyer Motorsports is trying to charge me almost $200 for a $109 tire. ****ing ripoff... Anyway, where can I get these discount tires mounted around here?

Just about every shop charges $15 to mount a tire off the bike or $20 with the rim on the bike.

P.S. I got my bike back
