Track=Safe??

I find it really interesting that the top two resolutions are "going to a track" and "be safe".

I think that they are both the same, don't you?

Are you implying that avoiding cagers is 'safe'?

ABSOLUTELY!!! Plus, no rocks, gravel or oil and an ambulance is usually right there.

Question Trackdays

I made my first trip to a track last weekend (Brands Hacth in Kent). I was only there to watch the British Superbikes, not to take part. I was amazed just how fast those riders were going It doesn't look that fast on TV.

As for track days, the thing that puts me off is the cost and the fear of damaging my bike. I'd love to have a go, but on a hired bike, not mine.

Does that make me a Wuss?

Gear

I put down new gear, but in the interest of being safe. I also want to do my first track day, but I definitely need some leathers before I can do that. Not to mention the possible Gap trip...
