Time for the Track?

12-10-01

Who has been to the track the most? I haven't been on the track yet. I wish I lived closer to a track.

I'd take a guess and say a little over 500 in my lifetime. But this includes my old dirt track days.

Geez, I have no idea?

12 years roadracing, numerous/countless track days since, and 5 years of MX racing.

I'm a poser and just went to the track and set-up in the pits to look cool. So I guess I'd say about 10 hours total "on the track."

If 33 red cows enter a race with a total of 37 cows, should anyone be surprised when a red cow wins?

Track days... Oh I thought it was Crack days. In that case I only have about 40 days at the Track, but countless number of Crack days.

Iíve been to 23 track days since starting Aug í00, havenít lost a whole day to rain but say 3 cumulative. The track is hot for 7 hours, 3 groups, and sometimes 2 groups, but say 3 to allow for red flags. So 20 x 7 x 1/3 = 47 hours.

On day 21, first of day of í02 I lowsided twice in Putnam T4, embarrassing. 2 run offs into the grass at about 40 without dropping.

Well...........if you count the hours I spent racing desert in AMA dist.37 for about ten years, I'd probably be in the 500 to 1000 hour category. But for road racing, I'd say about 4 hours time on the track total......but it's only may 17..........

Once you try track, you never go back.

I've never been to a roadracing track, only the dragstrip.
The Ninja only ever saw one run, but I've raced the Mustang 48 times at the strip. It's alot of fun!
