For those of you interested in the Baby Buell:

My wife and I stopped by our local Buell dealer today and got some great news - rearset footpegs are on the way. Sue was following me through some twisties last week and dragged a footpeg on her Blast. No big deal, except this was the first time she had ever ridden a street bike more than two miles from home.

So she decided the Blast was a bit too upright in the bars and lowdown in the pegs. Now we can fix that. She ordered a set of the rearsets and will get them installed ASAP. along with some lower bars. She wants a Screaming Eagle 600cc kit for Christmas. This one is going to be a sleeper, except for the Vance and Hines pipe she wants.

Now what were all those magazines saying about people outgrowing the Blast?

Cool

Thats cool! I'm glad she likes her bike. There is alot of potential in the Blast. And knowing Harley there will be lots of ways to improve the performance. ALot of the Sportster and Buell stuff will work on a Blast. I have also seen different seats from Corbin. Now you just need to get her to post in the Buell forum.

Well, had a mishap with the Blast, I traded it in on a 750 Monster. I was concern about what mods would do to the Blast. But I do not regret getting the Blast. It is a great first bike. But I outgrew it really fast. Even though I fell in love with the Monster a few years ago, it was the Blast that actually got me riding and that makes it a great bike. I wish Buell made a sportbike between the Blast and the M2. I love the sound of the Buells. Even the Blast sounded good. Well, better go join the Ducati's.
