Dunlop D220

I'm about to buy a 95 S2 Thunderbolt that has some dry rot in the tires. Has anyone tried the new Dunlop D220s? Do they give good feedback and warn you before they break loose?

I ask because this will be my 1st street bike and I want something that will give me the best chance of not losing control.

If someone would recommend a better tire I'm cool with that to

Thanks in advance!

Finally on two wheels

I tried the D220's and only got 4000 miles out of the rear. The front is still good so I went to a Bridgestone BT020 as a rear replacement. They Dunlops stuck good in all weather but I won't get them again due to the poor mileage. I asked other sportbike forum readers about D220's on the Sport Touring forum and have had a few replies. Seems the MacAdam 100 may be a good choice so I will likely try them for my next set.
