I just got my first bike and I guess it classifies as a "classic". It's a 1981 Yamaha Seca 550. I've put up a web site where I will be documenting everything that I do to it to make it into a nice bike. This bike is just something for me to learn on while I save for a real sportbike!

Anyway, here's the link:

NOTE: Only the main page is up now. None of the links off the main page work yet. By this weekend they should all be up.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

hey ya!

Hey, I've got the 400cc version of that!! Mine needle a helluva lot of work. Well, not as bad as my friends BMW, but still, a bunch of stuff. (BMW-when your bike needs the tranny and clutch replaced, there is no way you're gonna get out of it what you paid for it!!) Yeah. I just needed a new tank, front fender, tail light lens, various blubs, new seat cover, paint job, chain and sprockets, currently working on rebuliding the carbs, and gonna put in new steering head bearings (the ones in there are GONZO!) Yeah. I think that's it. Oh yeah, front tyre. Oh brake pads on the front and shoes on the rear, no biggie. Amazingly enough haven't spent that much on it. hehe. Had it for a year so far, you can see a pic of it, I have a thread for it on here.
Yeah. Any questions I'd love to help if i can!
Peace! Laura
