Question '81 550 Maxim possibility

So, I'm looking through the classifieds when I spy this '81 550 Maxim for sale. Apparently it worked before being stored for two years, and now does not fire but turns over. "Some TLC Needed" apparently - But for $100... I think it's worth it.

What do you guys think? Worth restoring or fixing up? I'm thinking about going for it.

I just spent $250 on a Nintendo, if you think you can get it to run then go for it, $100 isn't much even if it never runs again.

I just really want a bike with a turbo, because their are those times when you pull up too a stop light next to a cop, and I think a really loud PPTTTSHIIISHHHHHHHH would make his day. =P

its a steal at 100 even if it never runs again you can part it out on ebay and make a decent profit. get it running and it would be a good bike to ride.

For $100, you have virtually nothing to lose. I'd go for it.

wow

That is exactly what I learned to ride on. Put about 10,000 miles on it before I was 16 riding on just a permit with the old man. Nice bike...inline four but they for got to put in the hp and torque. I would grab it up if had the chance...especially for that price. Paid $475 in '93 for one that ran!
