87 zx6 question

i just got my 87 zx6 back from the shop, where it had the carbs synchronized, cleaned, new diaphram, etc. i took it on a test ride and after about a mile on the freeway (w/ the throttle about 3/4 open) it started running like it was on 2 or 3 cylinders. i rode it out hoping it would stop but i couldnt keep it running. i finally got it started (w/ the choke all the way on) and limped it home. it has always done this, it will put around town just fine but as soon as it opens up for any substantial amount of time this happens. i have a feeling one of the coils may be failing while the other one works fine, which would explain the 2 cylinders thing, but idk much. any help would be much appreciated.

Check the fuel filter, and a possible vaccume leak it almost sounds like there is fuel starvation. and change out the plugs see if that helps any at all

live to ride but ride to ride another day
