Cool

I am a fan of the classics. Was shopping for a new bike (since I haden't had one since high school) I stumbled acrossed a 84'GPz750 and absolutly love it! Its got plenty of punch and looks great but it has a cam chain noise at idle and goes away when you get on it. Is this normal or whould you suggest having it checked. I plan to have the valves adjusted and carbs synced I have been told the noise was normal but I want a few more opinions. Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't worry about the cam chain tensioner, or whatever. All the new suzuki's rattle too. My friend had an ex500 did the same thing.

I like that bike to.. with a cafe style screen!

My most favorite bike ever!!!!! I loved mine, put 26,000 miles on it in less than a year and then it was stolen. I do not remember cam noise, though. I would have it checked out. It's a great bike and you will have fun on it. Very stable in the curves. Do the LCD gauges still work? If you drill out the airbox or switch to K&N air filters you can top out at 140 mph. That was with stock gearing. I even got 50 mpg on a trip from S.C. to TX. a couple of times.
Good luck with the sweet bike of my dreams.

i wanted one so bad in 91 after crashing my 79 kz750. it was $1700 with lowers and 1900 miles. i just couldn't swing it (i was broke).

anyway, those old gpz were sweet. the gpz750 turbo was awesome, then the fuel injected 900. i saw one getting inspected this year. the guy loved it.
