Alpinestars SP-1 gloves review

Hi all,

I got a new pair of Alpinestars SP-1 gloves.

For my given situation I'm quite happy with them. Let me explain - the SP-1's and their counter pair, the SP-2's - are an entry level track suitable glove. I do race at the track but only on occasion. I've been trying to find a pair of gloves that work well under track conditions but wont break the bank and the SP-1's are perfect for that.

The all leather material is solid - and even the accordion stretch panels on the thumb and fingers are of leather material.

The gloves are very comfortable and you can easily move your hands without any sort of bulky feeling or resistance.

The gloves are cool and give good airlfow - but don't be riding in them in anything under 10C. (get very cold quite fast!)

Carbon fiber armor is embedded onto the knuckle and finger area providing impact protection.
