Full race suit?

Would it be snotty and absurd to wear a full race suit when you ride? (and JUST ride, not commuting to and from work, just wearing a suit during weekend joyrides)

there is nothing wrong with wearing gear. i wear a full 2pc suit whenever i ride on weekend trips to like to ann arbor an such. really, anytime i think im going to be riding 'spirited' i wear that suit. otherwise, i wear my riding pants and armor jacket all the other times.

I'd say absolutely not. My interesting in a one-piece goes well beyond track days. Besides, who cares? Its your skin.

<soapbox>If you're looking for teenage approval, the answer is probably not, but then I'd argue you shouldn't be riding in the first place. Perhaps getting a ricer would be a better option.</soapbox>

ahahah well i thought the same, but i didnt know if it were some sort of fashion taboo.. for example, if I wore full gear, i'd be deemed something similar to a "ricer" on the roads

No for it is your world & besides you will be wearing top line protective gear, while so many will only be with jeans & decent jacket.

So along with said one or two piece suit then do pick out a good set of gloves for once going down (hope this does not come about to you0, is your hands go out to the pavement or crap at the ditch to protect the face & body. Not the cheap $40.00 gloves for I have something like four sets of gloves that cost me, in Cdn dollars, a bit over $200.00. It allows me to let one pair dry up properly if effected with rain or sweat, & use another set.

I spent a maze of years in competition to normal riding with no gloves or just a good pair of leather work gloves. So me the reason I do not have a "normal" thumb or finger on either of my two hands!!!
