Im getting a Ducati soon and I was wondering if Ducati gear (jackets in particular) is any good. Im assuming companies that specialize in motorcycle equipment would have better stuff. I want to show some Ducati pride, but safety is the first priority. Any opinions?

If you don't mind spending 40%-50% more on official Ducati gear than you would on the other gear labels, then you won't have too many complaints as far as quality or safety. My biggest complaint is that I can't find a style or design that I'm totally comfortable wearing, it's either vintage Ducati or overwhelming amount of colors and stripes.
Getting back to safety, some of the vintage stuff does not feature all the safety protection that you need. They are designed to be 'Retro' so they really are retro. That's only the stuff that I have seen, but you may find that they are perfectly suitable after trying them out yourself. Good Luck!!!

www.ducati.com has all of the Ducati gear online. Some of it is from known manufacturers such as Dainese and Arai.

I'm interested to know what Ducati you're getting, what you owned before and what made you change to a Ducati.
