seems people around here know there scooters pretty good, check out the fuji rabbit site, they have alot of information on the company and the early days of subaru, there is a funny pic of them all bowing there heads to the last rabbit off the assembly line,

the S1 featured aircraft technology, the front end is the landing gear they used on a bomber before the war ended.

that site is pretty cool too, check out the folding french scoot that turns into a big heavy scooter shaped briefcase.

I found the information you mentioned very interesting Lt. Gustl. I thought Fuji sounded familiar (I've owned Subaru automobiles for the last 20 years).
