Land speed record holder

This streamliner broke the land speed record. Name the manufacturer and the year it set the record.

I'm throwing in the towel and raising the white flag. The only part I had right was that it was the '40s. I can't figure out what bike that is and who rode it. DAMNIT!!! LOL
