I got the idea for this trivia by the Kawasaki KR500 I created earlier.
Here is the story...
There was a small firm and a great rider that raced in GP250s with a very small budget and managed to compete at equal level with the best of the time.
The bike was down on power but had a fantastic chassis and a rider that was extremely talented.
The chassis was the result of great engineering of the designer and it was also the first monocoque chassis as far as I know.
The rider was making up with his talent what the bike was lacking in other areas.
They won 4 GPs but never managed to get to the 1st place at the championship even though at times they were ahead of such names as Phil Read, Kel Carruthers and other big names of the time. Luck wasn't on their side though. The rider died in the TT and then the firm withdrew from GP racing forever
The team was based on him and they where 'racing only for him' as the designer of the bike has said.
So, here is a picture of this great bike, can you tell us what the bike is and who was the talented rider?
