Smile A small cross bike

What is this bike?

Once I rode one exactly like this and almost crashed at the first cross road as I didn't manage to slow down in time and just went straight through !!
That's when I saw that the gearchange was at the right side and the brake on the left

It's not British though

That's right. There were also many Italians like that

Some models allowed the rider to change the pedals from left to right.

Hi Aris,

It looks like a 1969 or there abouts Benelli.

Andy it's not a Benelli but you re very very close!

The Benelli above is a 'trials' bike and it is an earlier model than the one in question.
The trivia bike is a 'cross' bike, the brand that maked it is still in business and if I remember well there was an exactly same Benelli (badge engineering) with that one (hint!)

The engine is the same (Minarelli) but look at the angle of the rear shocks between the two pictures, the difference is because of the different age and purpose (the cross has longer travel).
