Who dragged a knee first time?

Who is considered the first rider that introduced knee draging to the GPs?

Your article seems to say that Jarno Saarinen guy did it first in 1973.

Well you were almost there. You found the article that answered it.

That's the hardest part, after all. Right Aris? (AKA "Trivia King")

You all found it

Elo, you found it first but you didn't read it and Tigertex answered correctly That was funny
Jarno Saarinen from Finland was the first rider to try this technique in road racing. He was an ice racer before moving to roadracing, and was used to doing the same on ice.
He would have won the 1973 championship for Yamaha, but got killed at the Monza GP. He was a great talent, a natural rider as they called him, and incredibly fast, it's a great pitty he lost his life so soon

After him it was Kenny Roberts who continued using this technique and perfected it.

Nice picture titomike!

Aris
