Well the answer covers everything really, I just wanted to add that it's the bike that started it all.
It's the first 4 cyclinder in production, first disc brake, lots of power, respectable handling (for the time), electric start (OK there were others before) but not as reliable, and it never dripped oil
The finish was great, and the bike was very impressive.
It's the bike that signaled the end of the all the British motorcycle manufacturers.
Actually, Kawasaki was developing a 750 at the same time, but Honda presented the CB in 1969, so they never showed their 750 and went back to the drawing boards. That's how they came up with the Z1 900 a little later.
