What bike is it?

Here is a picture of a bike that shouldn't be easy to recognize.
I have cut out the brand to make it more difficult
I didn't know of this bike, but a friend of mine has one, and it's great!
What is it?

hint: You won't expect it!

sorry but no

Hi Smeg,

No it isn't a CZ, you re not even close. Actually it's a good looking bike for its age in my opinion. The tank is aluminium, and if you could see the brand you would be amazed!!!
Hint: It's a 1977 model, that's why it looks like that

Has to be a Penton then. That's the only other class leading machine I can think off.

Sorry Smeg but it isn't a Penton.
Keep on trying though

Hint (to make it easier) :
The make of the bike is among the most famous motorcycle manufacturers in the world!

Is this an answer or a question?

If it's a question, the answer is yes!

If it's an answer, what was the question again...
