Question

I just picked up a 2001 Falco and have around 300 miles on it (I'd like to have more but that damned job keeps on getting in the way). The break in period is slated at 600 miles. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know where these distances come from? The last sportbike I owned was a 88 Ninja 600R, and if I recall correctly the break in period for that was around 250-300 miles. Do larger engines need more of a break in? Not a big deal, just something thats been bugging me.

Don't try to keep up with my life, you'll only get hurt.

For most bikes, generally they say 1000 miles. Check your bike's manual, it will say.
