Info on RS 125

I am a newbie rider who is contemplating on buying the Aprilia RS 125 or the Cagiva Mito 125 for daily use.

Both bikes are somewhat popular in my market (of course not as the Japs counterpart, but who wants to be like everybody else?), but I have not found any forum who are familiar with them. It seems that this forum is based in the US. Are these bikes not available there?

I need to know which one is easier to live with and to learn sport-riding on. I am a licensed rider but that only say I can get from point A to B safely. I want to learn some real riding skill so that I can have fun on the mountain roads and hopefully, the track, some day.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

These bikes are not very common in the US. Try this site, it has lots of European members who have much more experience with the bikes you mention, and the site has separate forums for each individual model. Hope it helps...

Thumbs up

I'm local to AF1 Racing (, and they imported 2 RS125's last year. They look and feel like the 250, except they're not as heavy, chains on the opposite side, and they only have one disk up front... but the 125's are really nice bikes.

Go to their website for info on the 125's.

I have ridden both, own an Aprilia RS125 extrema, did some minor upgrades and bike blows your mind off, same can be done on the Cagiva.
