shifting

Has anybody else had any problems with missing gears or is it just me? Sometimes the transmission on my falco will go into a false neutral, except that you can hear the gears hitiing each other. Not good.

Question : is this when shifting UP or shifting down.

Now if it is the lst one then that means you are trying to shift to fast, OR not giving it enough pressure.
Answer could be in moving the gear change lever down a bit so you have more power from the boot.
Actually the best way is the reverse shifting pattern as used on most of the Brit irons back in the late 40s till late 50s being UP for lst & DOWN for the rest.
Same as most are using in roadracing now.
Tip though: If you have another street iron then best to make it the same & so no chance of an error when on the other bike.

Remember all the others on the road are crazy & out to kill you.

It happens when I'm shifting up, usually in the upper gears.

Tried to answer you yesterday, but it wouldn't post???

Anyway, I've never experienced that problem, nor have I heard of that before. You may try the FalcoForum on yahoo groups. Those guys are a wealth of information, and if your problem has been experienced before someone there will know about it.

Don't try to keep up with my life, you'll only get hurt.
