Cool

Hi everyone!

I just joined here because I finally got my first bike yesterday. It's not really a sport bike, but it is something cheap for me to learn on while I save for a real sport bike. It's a 1981 Yamaha Seca 550. It only has 8600 miles on it. It needs a little work but nothing serious. I'm planning on restoring it and will be putting together a web page about it.

Later I want something like a Suzuki SV650S.

Sincerely,

spidrman

Welcome. The Seca should do you well for a starter. The SV650S is a sweet machine.

Welcome. The SECA will be just fine. I'm glad you've got your stuff together, unlike a lot of idiots who are starting out on open class bikes. You'll be able to learn to ride the right way. Don't forget the MSF course. Good luck and safe riding!!!

Wow! An 81 with 8600 miles? That is a perfect bike to start on. You will outgrow it, but learn the basics while it can still be inexpensive (money and painwise).

Thanks for all the "Hiyas"

I already took the MSF course and am looking forward to lots of years of safe riding.
