Hi my name is Brad. I am thinking about buying a bike but I dont know what to get. Let me tell you about me. I am 5ft 10in 240 lbs Chunky build. I have short legs. SO what I am asking is I would like to know what would be the best buy so I can keep both feet on the could when I come to a complete stop. I am thinking of a 2010 ninja 250r or a 2010 ninja 650r or a Honda CBR 600rr. Any advice will help me. Thanks guys hope I learn alot from this site.

The 250 and 650 are both good starter bikes. Why are you looking new though? You should be looking at used bikes. No matter how careful you are you will eventually drop it and then you'll be sick. Buy a used bike for a lot less money then when you have ridden for a year or more, step up to a new bike if that's still your desire. Stay away from the 600 supersports for your first bike - CBR600RR, R6, GSX-R, ZX6-R. Lots of people are going to tell you that "you'll be fine if you take it easy," but read the other new rider information on here for more reasons why. You're already on the right track though.

See New Rider forum stickies or any number of posts in that forum on the subject of a new bike.
