Post Yet Another New Member/Rider

Hi all. My Name is Chris and I'm from Orlando, FL. I just bought a 2005 Hyosung GT650R. So far no mishaps and I'm really hoping to keep it that way. I'm thinking about getting frame sliders for the new bike...a good idea or no?

Hi Chris and welcome.
Frame sliders are always a good idea especially when starting out, as fairings are always expensive even if you drop a bike at very low speeds.
Read a bit about the Hyosung bikes, sounds like a great cheaper bike to start on(presume your new to riding), great performance for the price.
Let me know how the bike performs in a month or two.
Good luck.

Hyosung?!?! I had to do a little research, as I (and i'm sure a few others) have never heard of such a thing. I will say not bad for the price. I like the headlight, mainly because they copied it (kinda) from the prototype KTM RC8. Good luck finding a lot of aftermarket parts for it though. Personally I would of bought a used 600 from one of the big 4, but hey - to each his own.

Well welcome to SBW. You will find a lot of experience in every aspect of "sportbiking" here, don't be afraid to ask any questions. Good luck.

I figured it would be better to buy a brand new bike so I didn't get a used bike that someone ragged out.

Currently slip ons pipes are made by Micron, Remus, and Leo Vince.

Otherwise, you can bolt on anything off of a '99-'01 Suzuki Bandit 1200.

Great bike choice!
